i guess i'm developing a trend. i'm waiting 10 days from post to post and posting things from the weekend before. after a long day at work, i have no desire but for a shower and a bed to sleep. i can't even believe it has been 6 weeks since i left home. three more weeks and i will return. after an experience of a lifetime i have made some certain decisions of where i'm going with my studies. things are so much better decided when you have a clear understanding of what it takes to be what you want to be. i learned firsthand that “If you prepare yourself . . . you will be able to grasp opportunity for broader experience when it appears” (Eleanor Roosevelt).
last weekend my roomie and i went to eastern market. a D.C. farmer's market. it was nice. pretty good amount of things to see. we ate at a cutesy french bistro. i had crepe and she had omelette. it was a beautiful day to be outside and we enjoyed sitting and watching people. a simple pleasure you can't quite appreciate when you have a two year old running wild. so i was savoring my day. and the crepe too. after the market we came to the apartment and i finally got some embroidery done. i actually finished this piece and i plan to put it to good use when i make it home. a few more are in the works. more embroidery to come, stay tuned!! photography session this weekend in bethesda, md. will be a lot of fun!!! until next time.
